Enter miles already used from the 10,000-mile allowance

If you need to add a value in to prevent us from overpaying employee mileage based on the HMRC guidance, you can easily resolve this.

There is a mile carried forward value and a Miles Carried Forward End Date that can be assigned to each person as required.

This lets you record the current mileage carried forward from their allowance for example, if they’ve already used part of a 10,000‑mile allowance before being added to the system.

To do this for an individual employee, follow the below steps:

  1. Find the employee using the organisation search

    then click Person.

  2. Select Profile.

  3. Click on the Edit button then enter the number of miles already used in the Miles C/Fwd field.

  4. Add the date this value should apply to in Miles C/Fwd End Date.
