When the option Keep me on record for future vacancies is turned on, the applicant stays in the system and can receive notifications about future vacancies. If they turn it off, they wonât receive those notifications anymore.
Reasons to turn off vacancy notifications
A couple of practical reasons someone might switch it off:
Theyâre no longer interested in working with the organisation.
Theyâve found another job and donât want recruitment emails.
They want to stop receiving updates about future roles.
đNote: if this box is unticked, the applicant wonât automatically appear in the Talent Pool after applying, which is where candidates who want to stay on record for future vacancies are kept.
Turn off vacancy notifications
For the applicant to turn off vacancy notifications, follow the steps below:
Log into their profile and then click My Account.
A box saying Notifications appears.
Click Notifications.
At the bottom of the screen, click the Keep me on record for future vacancies check box.
