Bug Fixes
Document View button downloading file instead of opening inline Clicking the View button on a document in the Documents module or on the Background Checks Documents tab was downloading the file rather than opening it in the browser. This was happening because the system was returning the file with a header that forced a download regardless of which button was pressed. View will now open supported file types inline, and Download will continue to initiate a file download.
Insights / Analytics
Total Sick Days by Employee doubling up for employees with multiple employments The Total Sick Days by Employee report in Insights was counting sickness absences once per employment, meaning employees with more than one employment had their total multiplied. For example, an employee with 106 sick days and 3 employments was showing 318 days. Sickness records are now deduplicated per person so the correct total is displayed regardless of the number of employments.
Leave Statistics not updating when Generate Stats is run Running the Generate Stats job against an absence period, or using the Calculate Absence Stats custom process, was completing successfully but not updating the Leave Statistics table. The only way to get figures to update was to manually open each employee's absence screen. This has been fixed so that running the job updates leave statistics in bulk as expected.
Pay
NMW Report failing to load Opening the National Minimum Wage report under Salary Changes resulted in a Failed to load error. This has been resolved and the report will now open as expected.
Post Pay Details β Pay Scale dropdown showing scales from multiple effective dates When selecting a grade on the Post Pay Details screen, the Lower and Upper Pay Scale dropdowns were showing pay scales from multiple effective years (for example, both 2025 and 2026 entries in the same list). This made it unclear which scale to select and risked incorrect pay being applied. The dropdown will now only show pay scales that match the effective date of the selected grade.
Permissions
Colour indicators missing from the Permissions screen The permissions screen was missing colour-coded indicators, leaving users reliant on strikethrough formatting alone to understand the state of each permission. Colour indicators have been reintroduced so permission states are easier to read at a glance.
Recruitment
"Criteria not set" error blocking candidate progression when Supporting Documents Assessment is disabled When a vacancy had Supporting Documents Assessment turned off, attempting to start an assessment for a candidate displayed a "Criteria not set" error, preventing the school from progressing candidates to the next stage (such as sending references or inviting to interview). This has been fixed so that candidates can be progressed without this error when the assessment step is not required.
Reports
SWC Data Collection Report β SWC Pay Framework defaulting to "2014 Pay Framework" when no value is set The SWC Pay Framework column in the SWC Data Collection report was displaying "2014 Pay Framework" for all employees, even where no Pay Framework had been selected on their employment record. The column will now display blank where no value has been explicitly set.
Sickness
Bradford Factor triggers firing for terminated employees Employees who had already left the organisation were incorrectly receiving Bradford Factor sickness triggers, tasks, and email notifications. The system now checks whether an employee is terminated before calculating triggers, and will skip any processing for leavers.
Terminations
Terminated employees receiving new starter email instead of leaver communication When a termination was processed via the termination wizard, leavers were incorrectly receiving the new starter "Access People Portal log-in details" email instead of the Termination Account Details email. This was caused by the termination process resetting the leaver's credentials in a way that flagged them for the new starter email job, which had no check to exclude terminated employees. Leavers will now receive the correct communication.
Pay Scales
Unable to delete a pay scale point when editing a NJC pay body When editing a NJC pay body, the delete (bin) icon was visible against scale points but attempting to delete a point had no effect. Scale points can now be deleted when editing a pay body, provided the point is not currently in use.
