If the system flags a message saying leave or sickness already booked in this date range, there are a few things to check:
What to check
Check both the leave and absence sections on the employee's profile.
Make sure there are no absences booked.
If you get an error message saying sickness or leave already booked in this date range when trying to close a sickness, this is because the employee has a leave booked on that date. You must close the sickness before the holiday date and then open a new sickness that continues after the holiday, or you must delete the holiday in that date range.
π€Note: If you notice a sickness or leave already booked, this is why you can't add another leave type.
If you need to add a sickness and leave record for the same day, you will need to contact us.
Check absence period
If the system is flagging this message, and there is no sickness or leave already booked, another thing to check is the absence period, which can be done by following the below steps:
Find the employee using the organisation search then click Absence tab.
In the upper right, click Change absence period scheme.
Using the drop-down menu, change the absence period and click Save.
This will show all absence and sicknesses booked on those absence schemes, if applicable.
πNote: If no absences or sicknesses are booked on any absence periods, you need to contact us.
