Amend an employee's contract end date

You can edit an employee's contract end date to fix leave calculations and reporting when a contract end date has been added by mistake.

If you enter a contract end date it can make the employee’s holiday entitlement end on that date, which can reduce the leave days available in the current absence period and can also stop booked and taken holidays showing correctly in Leave Stats.

⚠️Important: It’s also important to know that adding or changing a contract end date does not terminate the employee. It just signals that the current post is ending on that date, so you still need to complete the termination process if they’re leaving.

When the booked and taken to date holidays aren't showing in the Leave Stats, this usually happens because there is a contract end date entered for that employee.

The contract end date can be highlighted as the current Absence Period scheme above the Leave Stats.

⚠️Important: Make sure to check the period dates.

To edit an employee's contract end date on the system, follow the below steps:

  1. Search for the employee using the organisation search then click the Employment tab.

  2. Click Position within the employment tab then click Edit.

  3. Remove the contract end date from the Contract End Date field.

  4. Click Save.

📌Note: You need to run batch update on the system for this to appear correct.
