Correcting the address on a payslip matters because of:
Accurate records: Payslips are part of an employeeâs official records. If the address is wrong, it can lead to incorrect information being stored in the system.
Communication: Addresses and contact details are often used for work-related messages or updates. If theyâre outdated, important information might not reach the right person.
Emergency situations: Address and contact details can be used if someone needs to locate an employee or reach a family member.
Team efficiency: When everyoneâs details are correct, colleagues can easily find the right information without delays.
So even though it might seem like a small detail, keeping the address correct helps maintain trustworthy employee records and smooth communication across the organisation.
To update an employee's payslip address, it is possible to correct this in 2 ways:
Correct the employee's address details within the payslip file
To correct the employee address details within the payslip file, follow the steps below:
Open the payslip file used for that payroll.
Find the employee and update their address details in the file.
Save the file with the corrected information.
Re-upload the file with the same line 0 value
To re-upload the file with the same 0 line, follow the steps below:
Click Payslip Admin then select Admin or Payroll from the top menu.
Click Admin Payslips then select Upload New Data File.
Upload the corrected payslip file using the same Line 0 value as the original upload.
When you reâupload with the same Line 0 value, the system replaces the previous payslip data for that pay date and loads the corrected details for all employees in that file.
đNote: Update address details for individual employees: if only a small number of employee's have the incorrect address listed on their payslips, contact us and include the name of the employee, the dates of the payslips affected, and the details that need amending.
