Unable to process P45 file

If you can't process a P45 file due to an error saying the employee hasn't left all their jobs, check all employments.

If you see the error 'has not left all their employments' when uploading a P45, it’s likely because the employee still has at least one active employment. The system blocks the upload since a P45 isn’t needed while the employee is still employed.

This can occur if an employee was terminated, exported as a leaver, and then un-terminated in the system. Once processed as a leaver through payroll, we recommend speaking with your payroll executive before making any changes. In most cases, re-employment on a new record is preferred over reversing the termination.
