Enable holiday accrual projection

You can enable holiday accrual projection in a few easy steps.

Written by Relu

Enabling holiday accrual projection means employees can see and, depending on your settings, book leave based on what they’re expected to accrue in the future, not just what they’ve already accrued so far.

You can enable it if you want people to plan ahead and request time off in advance, rather than being limited to only the leave they’ve already earned.

If you want projection for specific pay types such hourly, salary, etc you can override that global setting by turning on the matching per pay type option e.g. 'Enable Salary Paid Employments to Book Projected Leave'.

📌Note: If any of those are set to True, the system ignores the global 'Disable projection' setting for that pay type. For salaried staff, also check Disable 12-week accrual. If that’s on, it can stop full projected values showing too.

To enable or disable holiday accrual projection, follow the below steps:

  1. Depending on your configuration, click Configuration or Admin.

  2. Click Settings then click System Settings

  3. Click Global then search for and select Leave accrual: disable projection.

  4. Select the Boolean dropdown menu to enable or disable the setting.
