⚠️Important: Please make sure that the absence code matches payroll, so the absence exports successfully.
To add or amend an absence class, follow the steps below:
Depending on your setup, Configuration or Admin then click Settings.
From the Module Settings list, select HR.
Click Absence Class, then click Add Absence Class.
Type the absence code and description type.
The description is used to list the classes alphabetically when showing the list in the add absence area.
To have a specific order, add a number to the description such as 1. Paid Holiday.
Fill out the details of the absence class using the fields described below:
Paid Leave: If employee gets paid for leave.
User Can Select: If employee will be able to select this leave via self-service when booking leave.
Approval Required: Will this leave require approval?
Holiday Allowance: Will this leave use holiday allowance?
Accrual: Will employee accrue holiday whilst on this leave?
Allow lieu: If employee can use lieu allowance.
Use Absence Reason: This is usually used for sickness records. Absence reasons can be set up separately, such as Headache, Virus etc.
Click Save.
