⚠️Important: Before you start, check that you've configured your leave carry forward settings correctly for your absence periods, and check your carry forward policies. You can also change the number of months you can carry leave into. You can't follow the steps below if you've already run the absence period.

🤓Tip: To ensure you get the desired results, before you carry forward holiday on your live site, you can follow the steps below in your test system.

Carry forward leave for an individual

To carry forward leave for an individual employee, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the employee's profile.

  2. Click Absence, then click either Holiday or Leave.

    • This depends on your configuration.

  3. From the Period list, select the period to carry forward from.

    • For example, to carry forward holiday into this year, select last year.

  4. Click Carry Forward to Next.

  5. In Working Days or Hours, enter the number of days or hours to carry forward.

  6. Click Submit.

You can now see a Carry Forward to Next value in the absences, and the value is automatically deducted from the entitlement.

Carry forward all holidays for all employees

📌Note: You need to follow these steps for each of your absence period schemes.

To carry forward all holidays for all employees, follow the steps below:

  1. From the menu, click Settings then click Module Settings.

  2. From the HR list, select Absence Period Schemes.

  3. Click the required scheme.

  4. By the required period, click Carry Forward All.

  5. Click Confirm.

The system calculates the statistics and carries values forward where you've selected.

📌Note: If you've already run the carry forward process on your system against an absence period, the option for the Carry Forward All button is no longer available against the absence period. Instead, you'll see text which reads already run.

If you believe there is an issue with the carry forward data for that absence period and you need to run this again, please contact us and provide the absence period to be amended.
