Employee's leave request gone to the wrong approver

If your employees leave request was sent to a different manager, you can easily resolve this.

When an employee is submitting an absence request, they have the ability to escalate this request up the approval structure for your organisation.

If an approval request has not gone to the approver set on the employee's post, this is likely due to the employee pressing the escalate button when submitting the approval request. The escalate button can be pressed multiple times and this will then move up the approval structure depending on the number of times the button was pressed.

To identify whether the employee has used the escalate functionality. You can start at the employee and follow their post's approval structure up and see if this at some point hits the employee who received the approval request.
