If an employee has submitted and approved Time in Lieu also known as TWIL, it means the request has already gone through the approval process and the time has been added to their available TWIL balance.
This can happen in two situations:
The TWIL absence class is configured so approval is not required, so the request is automatically approved.
The employee has the Lieuday Self Service permission, which allows them to submit and approve their own TWIL requests.
Once approved, the hours or days are recorded in the employeeâs TWIL balance and can later be used when they book leave instead of using their normal holiday entitlement.
