Add tronc

You can change the tronc amount in a few easy steps.

⚠️Important: You now have to share tips with all employees, including the agency workers. For this reason, agency workers now appear in the tronc screen when accessed via the rota overview. You can read more about this change that affect tips distribution.

πŸ“ŒNote: Once you've added tronc, you can't delete it. You can, however, change the amount.

To add tronc, please follow the steps below:

  1. Click My Team then click Rotas.

  2. In the rotas, click Tronc.

  3. Click Add Tronc and enter a description.

  4. Use the drop-down lists to select a section and a subsection

  5. Enter a start and end date.

    • This can fall over multiple rotas.

  6. Select a tronc type:

    • Rate: Uses the tronc amount divided by the number of people worked. This shares the tronc amount equally without using the employees' hours worked.

    • Hours & Rate: The amount is divided for each employee using the hours and tronc rate. You can also include:

      • Include Holiday Hours: Adds holiday hours to the tronc calculation.

      • Include Training Hours: Adds training hours to the tronc calculation.

  7. Add an amount, then click Complete Tronc.
