You can see changes to an employee's profile by looking at the audit log.

Reasons to use Audit log

You can have various reasons to use the Audit log most common ones are for:

  • Track changes: see what was updated on an employee profile or a post, when it happened, and who made the change.

  • Investigate unexpected updates: if something looks wrong, you can check the audit trail to understand what changed and by whom.

  • Maintain an audit trail: it keeps a record of activity, which is useful for reporting and compliance.

  • Review leave approvals: the log can show the exact leave period tied to an approved request.

  • Run change reports: you can generate reports showing employee record changes over time.

Access Audit log

Note: You need the permission called Audit Permission. You also need access to that specific employee or post record, otherwise the audit log won’t be visible even if the permission is enabled.

Once you have the required permission and access to that specific employee or post record, follow the steps below:

  1. Search for the employee by using the organisation search then click into the Security tab.

  2. Click into Audit log.

    • This will open an audit trail for that employee.
