Create a friendly URL

As an administrator, you can set up an account up to allow members to login with a username rather than an email address.

To ensure that each user has a unique identity and reduce the administrative burden of password resets, you can set up members with email addresses in Access Evo. Your users can reset their own passwords whenever necessary, verifying who they are by clicking a link in an email.

If any of your employees don't have access to an email account, you can create a friendly URL then set them up with a username.

πŸ“ŒNote: This can be useful for some organisations, but it allows administrators to set users’ passwords and requires them to share a password with new users before they can log in and change it.

As organisation IDs must also be unique, they add another thing for members to remember, so we recommend using email addresses wherever possible.

Create a friendly URL in Access Evo

  1. Click Organisation Settings.

  2. Click General.

  3. Click Create a friendly URL.

πŸ“ŒNote: Creating a friendly URL makes it easier for members to sign in. This also enables accounts that don't require a valid email address.
