You can now auto-predict revenue and covers in each rota, saving manual input time. You can still override predictions to ensure accuracy.

Predicting forecast revenue

Within the rota, you can predict the forecast revenue based on:

  • Sales over a number of previous weeks, you can set the number of previous weeks to use.

  • Sales from the same time last year.

  • Sales from specific rota dates in the past, you can select any previous rota week(s) to compare with.

To begin predicting the forecast, follow the below steps:

  1. You will need to create a new rota or click into an existing rota in forecast stage.

  2. Within the Financial Summary section on the rota, next to forecast revenue, you should see a green Predict button.

    • Clicking Predict opens up the predict forecast window allowing you to select from the 3 options above.

  3. Once you have selected one of the 3 options which best suits your rota, you may need to select specific rota(s).

  4. Click the Update Prediction button to update the system's predicted forecast based on your selections.

    • You will then see the predicted revenue populated for the rota week, for each revenue stream below.

  5. If you are happy with the predicted values, click the Save button. If not, you may want to override the values, in this case you have 3 options:

    • Total Weekly Sales enter the forecast value for the weekly sales along with the percentage adjustment. Click Preview to preview the changes to the forecast. If you are happy then you can click Save or Save & Edit Hourly Sales, if you have some specific hours you wish to update.

    • Sales by Day, enter the total forecast sales for each day for each revenue stream. Add a percentage adjustment if required. Click Preview to preview the changes to the forecast. If you are happy then you can click Save or Save & Edit Hourly Sales, if you have some specific hours you wish to update.

    • Hourly Sales click the Edit Hourly Sales button. A new window will open and ask you to select the required revenue stream (i.e. Dry/Wet) from the drop-down list, select the revenue stream you wish to edit. You can now enter a forecasted sales value for each hour of each day for the week. Click Save to save the changes before repeating for any other revenue streams. Click the Back to Re-Predicting Sales button to cancel and return to the Predict Forecast window.

  6. Once you have saved either a predicted or override forecast, you should see the changes in the main rota week view and can close off the Predict Forecast window.

Predicting forecast covers

The forecast covers prediction functionality works exactly the same as the forecast revenue prediction functionality, however rather than predicting sales values, the system will predict the number of covers during the rota week. The same 3 options are available:

  • Covers over a number of previous weeks, you can set the number of previous weeks to use.

  • Covers from the same time last year.

  • Covers from specific rota dates in the past, you can select any previous rota week(s) to compare with.

  2. Within the Financial Summary section on the rota, next to Forecasted Covers, you should see a green Predict button. Click Predict which opens up the Predict Forecast window allowing you to select from the 3 options above.

  3. Once you have selected one of the 3 options which best suits your rota, you may need to select specific rota(s).

  4. Click the Update Prediction button to update the system's predicted forecast based on your selections. You will then see the predicted covers populated for the rota week below.

  5. If you are happy with the predicted values, click the Save button. If not, you may want to override the values, in this case you have 3 options:

    1. Total Weekly Covers. Enter the forecast value for the weekly covers. Click Preview to preview the changes to the forecast. If you are happy then you can click Save or Save & Edit Hourly Covers (if you have some specific hours you wish to update).
