An employee number cannot be modified once created. If the employee number has also been sent to payroll and registered with HMRC then the employment must be terminated and reemployed on a new employee number.
If your Access People solution is set to not use auto numbering e.g. you enter the employee numbers manually during the new starter wizard, then contact us.
Change an employee number in the system
You cannot change an employee number once created but there is a workaround.
