If a rota day is open after it was already completed, it is possible that there was a change made to employee data that is linked to the rota, such as sickness or leave, that triggered the day to re-open.
For example, if an employee has a open sickness record on a rota that is closed, closing the sickness may result in re-opening the rota day that this sickness spans over. This is because the changes are pulling through to the rota.

To prevent this, there is a global setting that will ensure that if set to true, any previous completed rotas will be completed again.
