Change an employee's salary

You can update an employee's salary record, in a few easy steps.

To change an employee's salary, follow the below steps:

  1. Search for the employee, either via My Team or the organisation search.

  2. Once the employee record has opened, click into the Payroll tab and then the click Pay tab on the right-hand side.

  3. From this screen, click Change Basic Pay.

  4. Enter the date this salary changes needs to become effective

  5. Once an effective date has been entered, you will be taken to the change basic pay page.

Employee is salaried

If the employee is a salaried employee, make sure you enter an FTE Salary, Contract Days, Contract Hours and FTE Hours.

πŸ“Œ Note: The system will automatically pro-rata salary if the employee is not on a full-time contract.


Employee is paid for hours worked on the rota

  1. Navigate to the Basic Pay Details section for the employee.

  2. Ensure the Paid field is set to For Hours or Shifts Worked from the Rota.

  3. Fill in all necessary fields related to the employee's pay details.

  4. Click Save to confirm the changes.

πŸ“ŒNote: Once you have saved, please make sure that the salary/contract hours and days are correct. If you have input something incorrectly, from the salary tab, just click pay history and then click into the top salary record. This is a similar process to if you wanted to amend an employee's contract hours / days without changing their rate of pay.
