When you set a terminated employee to Do Not Re‑Employ, the system prevents anyone from adding them back to the organisation in the future. That means:
The Re‑Employ option is hidden on their profile.
No new employment can be created for that person.
Even users with high permissions like System Owner can’t re‑employ them unless the flag is removed first.
So, it’s typically used when you want to make it clear that the employee should never be hired again, for example after serious misconduct or a formal decision not to rehire.
📌Note: The flag can be removed later if needed, but it’s intentionally restrictive to prevent accidental re‑employment.
To set a terminated employee's status to do not re-employ, follow the below steps:
Find the employee using the organisation search
then click Admin on the left-hand side.Click Flag as do not re-employ.
