Restrict what payroll claims an employee can see

Employees with access to the payroll claims tab can view all payroll claims for the sections they have permission to access.

Written by Relu

You can restrict what payroll claims an employee can see, but it’s done through section access, not a specific claims visibility setting.

  • If an employee has the Payroll Claims permission, they can view all payroll claims for the sections they have access to.

  • For example, if they have access to the IT team section, they’ll be able to see payroll claims for that whole section.

Why you might restrict it

  • To limit visibility so employees only see claims for their own team or department.

  • To prevent them from viewing claims from other areas of the organisation.

  • To control which sections they can create claims for.

Adjust an employee’s section access

To adjust an employee’s section access so you can control what payroll claims they can see, follow the steps below:

  1. Find the employee using the organisation search then select employee’s profile.

  2. Click Employment then click Position.

  3. Click Post Details then select Security on the left.

  4. Click Employee Access then click Edit.

  5. Choose the access level you want, for example:
    • Reporting Structure Access: they only see their team.
    • Organisation Structure Access: you manually select the sections they can access.

  6. If using Organisation Structure Access, select the sections you want them to see.

  7. Click Save.

This controls which sections the employee can view, which in turn limits what payroll claims they can see.
