Minimum Staffing is part of our Labour Optimisation module and allows you to set the minimum staff required per hour per site to ensure your business runs smoothly with the correct number of employees present at the required times.
Dictating minimum staffing levels overrides hourly predications and if using subsection level optimisation, allows you to dictate the required staffing levels. For example, if the prediction has dictated only 1 employee is required during a specific hour but there always needs to be a minimum of 2 employees in the building, the minimum staffing value will override and dictate 2 employees are required.
β
To set up Minimum Staffing on your rota, follow the below steps:
In the left-hand menu, select Rota under the My Team menu.
Filter to the section and dates you wish to set up the productivity for.
Click into the weekly rota.
Within the header bar of the weekly rota, a cog icon should be visible.
This should be located to the right-hand side of the green header bar. Click the cog to bring up the drop-down list.
Select Minimum Staffing from the list.
A pop-up window will appear where you can set the Minimum Staffing at section or subsection levels:
Optimised at Section level - enter the minimum number of employees required per hour per day for the rota.
Optimised at Subsection level - the window will contain the subsection names. Click each subsection name to expand the subsection. You will then see the option to enter the minimum number of employees required per hour per day.
Click Save.
πNote: When minimum staffing has been configured for a section or subsection, this should become visible within the rota day view. Within the subsections, a Labour Optimisation tab should be present which contains details on the minimum staffing levels per hour whilst the graph is colour coded to show if you are at the required staffing level, under or over staffed and also the demand line.
Employees will only count towards minimum staffing if their posts are set to be revenue generating for sales or cover driven or the shift code they have been assigned is set to be revenue generating.
πNote: Access to the cog and minimum staffing options in steps 4 and 5 is controlled by the permission titled Rota Labour Optimisation - Minimum Staffing. If you do not see the options in the rota, you may not have permission to this area.
