If you can process neonatal care leave same as you process maternity leave, (record only) absence class where the HR system will just take a record of the absence for visibility but not export the details into Payroll.
📌Note: When processing a neonatal care absence, you would need to inform the payroll team of this so that it can be processed directly in the payroll system. Payroll should then control the absence in line with the 12-week limit.
If you do wish to add the absence class to HR for visibility, the Accrual box should be ticked so that the employee still accrues on this leave type.
