Managers are often given this access so they can keep their team’s emergency contact information accurate and up to date.

Permission needed

If you give managers access to edit their team's emergency contact details, this helps with things like:

  • Emergency situations: if an employee has an accident or urgent issue, managers may need to contact the employee’s next of kin quickly.

  • Accurate employee records: managers can update phone numbers, addresses, or contact details if they change.

  • Operational responsibility: managers are often responsible for their team’s wellbeing and record keeping.

To allow this, the manager needs the Person – Next of Kins permission with:

  • Can View

  • Can Add

  • Can Edit

With this permission, they can open an employee’s profile and edit the Emergency contact section when needed.
