Use cases

Allowing a manager to edit maternity details can be useful because:

  • Managers often manage their team’s records and may need to update key dates like expected week of childbirth if something changes.

  • It helps keep employee records organised alongside other absence information.

  • It supports operational responsibility, where managers help maintain accurate information for their team.

One important thing to know though:

  • The maternity section is for recording only.

  • It does not export to payroll or reports.

  • If you need it to appear in payroll or leave reports, it must also be recorded as regular leave.

Permission required

As a manager, you can edit maternity with the correct permissions. The permission for this is called Maternity and you will need to viewand add

permissions.
