You can access the global setting on the system which controls the minimum amount of time a holiday can be booked for, this will likely be set to 0.5 by default on your system meaning the minimum amount of time a holiday can be booked for is 0.5 days or more as long as it is either a decimal at .5 or a whole number.

For example, if you have an employee you would like to book off 3.25 days, the Absence Working Day Precision Multiplier setting would be required to be set to 0.25 as a minimum number as 0.25 can be multiplied into 3.25.

This setting can also affect the amount of Lieu time you can provide to an employee. For example, you may wish to give the employee 0.8 days in Lieu but cannot be due to the Absence Working Day Precision Multiplier setting. A common solution for this is to set the Absence Working Day Precision Multiplier setting to 0.1.
